Should We Pay? Best Practices for Captive Coverage Decisions
Thursday, October 18, 2018 9:30AM – 10:30AM
Coverage decisions on complex claims can be as difficult for Captive Boards as they are for commercial insurers' claims departments. Interpreting ambiguous policy terms, determining intent, balancing the interests of the Captive with its related insureds, avoiding E&O claims and meeting regulatory requirements are all areas of potential focus. We will discuss these areas, as well as the different methods to determine coverage, importance of captive philosophy and best practices to adding new coverage.
Overall, forum sessions will focus on the most relevant topics and key issues facing the captive industry, including:
- Next gen risk finances in captives
- Busting the myths of captives
- Corporate governance
- The dynamic role of captive manager
- Hot topics in the captive industry
